Client Spotlight – Elle Donovan

I met this beautiful young lady when I first moved to Chesterton about three years ago. She was THE ONE to call to take care of your kids.  She was young but seemed to be much more mature than all the other girls her age. All of my friends trust her with their new babies, crazy toddlers and active kids. I never got to snag her for my kids, so I really did not get to know her until she came to the studio about a year ago. She proved to be very mature, extremely dedicated, hard working and on top of that, super sweet with a heart of gold.   She is the studio’s only high school student  who has proven to be as dedicated to the barre as her “grown-up” counterparts.  She is graduating high school next week and in this past year, I had the pleasure of seeing her blossom into a stunning young lady; maybe one of my shorter clients, but SO strong! This girl can plank and she has her splits on both sides!    I am so proud that Elle Donavan is our client spotlight this month. On top of school, babysitting and all the other things that I’m sure she does on a daily basis with her family and her friends, she makes the time to come in early morning before school, sometimes twice a day and any time that she can to get a barre workout in.  Thank you Elle for being you.  We wish you a very happy birthday and a congratulations on your graduation. We love you and we will miss you next year when you go to college. For now, read what Elle had to say about her experience here:

When did you first start coming to Barre + Beyond ( Mind Over Matter Method Barre Classes)?

I started coming to barre a little over a year ago in the spring of 2015

What got you “hookedon Mind Over Matter Method Classes?

I got hooked on how challenging the work out was, at the time I was going to the gym and doing basic exercises I learned. But barre pushed me to work harder than I ever have and encouraged me to go more often.

Have you seen changes in your physique?

Yes! I have lost almost 30 lbs since starting and I notice difference in my muscles every single day!

How often do you take class?

I try to go to class every day but usually 5 times a week because of school.

Have you ever taken a barre class before Barre + Beyond?

No, my first class was a workshop that focused on arms and was my first time doing anything like the class.

Do you have any goals set for yourself in class?

Everyday before class I tell myself that I am not going to take a break or drop that weight, all while I keep perfect form.

What would you tell someone that is hesitant to try a class?

Just try it!  You never know it may change your life like it did mine. I always try to highlight the fun parts of class and just share my Barre + Beyond story as encouragement.
