Happy Anniversary
Dear BARRE BEAUTIES,
“Beauty comes from the inside”. That is what I told Liza as she started to lose her hair. I told her to look at herself in the mirror and say “I am still the same Liza” over and over again. Well, yes she is! She is still Liza and even more amazing than I could have ever imagined. She is confident; she is brave; she is ambitious; she is strong; so strong mentally and physically (yes one legged push-ups are part of her repertoire); she is loving – so loving and caring that through it all, she loves to give to others and her new friends in the hospital. Oh her heart! I am learning from her every day. She truly is an inspiration for me to do more and be better every day. Although change is hard, it is so necessary. All experiences shape us; shape who we are and make us stronger and make us more caring. Change means that we are growing. As we grow, we are becoming better; better mothers, better children, better partners, better professionals, better women, a better community, better humans over all. Change allows us to step back, look at ourselves and find what is important.
I think it is safe to say that everyone, I mean everyone in this whole entire world, has experienced change this past year. It is how we handle change and what we do with it, that matters. I have learned from Liza, how to handle all the change in our fitness industry. But just as Liza is the same Liza, your barre community, is the same too. Our 7th Anniversary Picture looks quite different from the outside this year. We are not at the studio with our logo behind us. Liza might not have hair, but we are all here. We are the same on the inside, if not better. As a family, we are stronger than ever. As a community of women, Barre + Beyond is still here for you. As we pivot and move towards life “beyond the studio”, please know that although it looks different, and not what you are used to, we are still here to empower you to be your better self every day. No matter what it looks like from the outside, we are still the same on the inside. I am here. I am here pivoting the plan to another plan to another plan but all to help you find a routine, find your fitness, “find your abs”, find your passion, find your strength…whatever it is you need to find, we are here to help you get there. I understand that fitness is personal. There are many distractions and excuses to keep us from reaching our potential and yes, I understand those reasons are personal. So as I open up here, more than I have in the past six months, I want you to know that you too can feel safe to open up to us as well. We are a community that does not judge. We are not perfect and you shouldn’t be either. It’s a journey. We have to start somewhere. We are all in this together. As our fitness community has moved to be completely virtual, we have created a private group, just for us to share, to laugh, to send tips and tales to keep us going. So whether you are an active member of our community or just following and supporting our Social Media, know that your support will only be met with my support. Equal support. Support to help empower you to be strong physically and mentally, to take that strength into your daily life. Happy Anniversary to us! 7 years of empowering women and I just have to say thank you! Thank you to all our team members through the years, all the help in the background, all the support from you, our barre beauties. I truly appreciate you and as we change and change again, know that our inner beauty, what you have always loved, is still here. We look different, but we are the same! Thank you again for believing in us, sticking with us and loving us.
Cheers!
Sharing Barre Love,
Orlee
