M.O.M.s Recipes: Healthy Hummus
We would like to share with you, M.O.M.s Recipes, just another way to help you “be your better self” in 2014!
Mehdi Spadavecchia, our Marketing Director, Rachel’s husband, is a Corporate Executive Chef for White Lodging Services located in Merrillville, Indiana and he will be sharing his recipes with us when he has the chance.
Ingredients:
1/2 Lbs cooked garbanzo dried beans
1/2 Lbs tahini
2 Clove minced fine garlic
2 Fluid Ounce fresh lemon juice
2 Fluid Ounce water
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Method:
1. In a food processor add the cooked garbanzo beans and the tahini paste. Puree until smooth.
2. Add the garlic, lemon juice, water, cumin and the salt. Continue to puree until smooth and mixed well.
3. Hold in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Yield: 10, 2 OZ Servings
