Studio Spotlight — Meet Molly
One Monday, there was a beautifully fit woman taking Master Instructor Elizabeth’s morning barre class. I peeked and saw that her form was impeccable, but not only that, she listened carefully to cues throughout class, mindfully adjusted her form to challenge herself. I thought to myself, I got meet this lady! I introduced myself and found out that she has been a fitness instructor for the past ten years and an impressive Pilates Certification as well. What I immediately loved about Molly was her desire to learn and take time out of her day to continually improve beyond the walls of her comfort zone. So when the opportunity arose that we were searching to build our Studio’s team, Molly was a perfect fit. She brings such knowledge to the table yet so humble and open to learn about the cutting edge barre fitness technique. I am so excited to officially introduce Molly to the team. I know she will challenge you, humble you, and encourage you to be your better self. She lives by the Mind Over Matter Mantra and she will encourage you to do the same. Her first officially class is Mat Pilates on Monday at 8:30 and you’ll feel the barre burn with her very soon.
Read about Molly:
Originally from South Bend, IN, Molly and her husband Tim, moved quite a bit in their early years, from California to Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, and their final move to Valparaiso, Indiana 15 years ago when their fourth child was born. Molly’s first stop in any new city was always the local health club where she was never afraid to take full advantage of the club’s child care, giving her an hour of exercise, an hour to herself; a true sanity break. It became clear that an active, healthy lifestyle was a necessity. Molly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Mary’s College and with a growing family, she was fortunate to be able to stay at home after the birth her fourth child. Ten years ago she became a group fitness instructor and has taught indoor cycling as well as women’s strength classes. In 2008, she became a comprehensive Pilates Instructor through McEntire Pilates and has been teaching mat Pilates classes as well as private and semiprivate equipment classes.
Molly first discovered barre classes while visiting her daughter in Milwaukee and was thrilled to find a studio closer to home. She was immediately attracted to the small, purposeful, mindful movements of barre exercises that yield big results. In addition, the wide variety of exercises keep the muscles guessing adding to the benefits of the workout while keeping it fresh. Molly is thrilled to be a part of the Mind Over Matter Studio Team, bringing her expertise to this strong group of motivated women.
Molly and Tim have five children. She is excited to continue to seek a healthy lifestyle and help women be their better selves every day at the barre and beyond! CPR certified.
