What does it mean to “Raise the Barre? To set your barre higher? Well, let me start by emphasizing “YOUR”. In order set goals and raise the barre, you need to know where you are starting from. In addition, your goals will look different from your neighbor’s goals. It’s important to never compare and realize that you always must do what it right for you. We are in between seasons and schedules, and as Burn at the Barre comes to an end, we must be real…we’ve been slacking- me too! So this challenge is a fresh start.  So again before you set your sights on new goals, you must make some adjustments, whether you aren’t coming regularly or even if you are, it’s time to make some changes.  You will feel better!

Here are some ways to raise the barre.

  1. Come to more classes per week; If you have been coming once a week, find another time slot. If you have been coming 3 times a week, add one more. Try one more day or even two.
  2. Adjust Your Schedule. You may have a comfort zone of classes. Change it up!  If you change which classes you come to, you may see a difference in muscles worked, type of workout. We have such a variety that you should explore all classes. Check out our new schedule. Even our lunch express classes will have the theme as our beginner classes. This month it is All About the Balls!
  3. Set a goal during your class. Raise the barre for how you work. Explore challenging yourself to hold one more second, to get one inch lower. These small goals will make your time spent more productive. You will get the most out of your workout when you bring your mind to your body.
  4. Find a buddy. Friends at the barre help to keep you accountable. and it makes it fun!
  5. Join our challenge. All VIPS are part of our challenge! Join us! Sign up now!
