M.O.M.s Method Client Spotlight: Melanie Nekola
Melanie has been one of our biggest supporters at M.O.M.s Method! She consistently takes class 4-5 days a week and is always ready to feel the burn the moment she walks in the door. Melanie lives in Chesterton with her husband Mike and their three children James, Kaitlyn, and Caroline. She is a CT Tech for Portage Hospital and has been with the Portage Campus for 11 years. She also started her own juicing company last year, Bee Healthy Juice Blends because she noticed there were no other juice bars around the area. She is currently offering 4 different types of juices and will begin selling them at M.O.M.s Method in March. She wants to share the benefits of juicing, which include mental clarity, more energy, and boosting the immune system. Despite being a very busy woman Melanie understands how important it is to take time to do something good for herself and she is working towards a sculpted body + strong mind! Below is a Q&A with Melanie on her experience with M.O.M.s Method!
Q. When did you start taking M.O.M.s Method Classes?
A. July 2013 when Orlee began teaching classes at Sand Creek Country Club
Q. What got you hooked on M.O.M.s Method?
A. The energy it gave me! I have always been a runner and after I would run all I want to do is rest for hours, it absolutely exhausted me. This class is totally different and I still feel like I am getting an amazing workout just not with all of the stress on my body.
Q. Have you seen changes in your physique?
A. Absolutely! The first thing I noticed was the change in my posture. I sit and stand up so much straighter and that was almost instant. I have also lost inches all over and feel much slimmer than I did before.
Q. How often do you come to class?
A. 5 days a week and I would do more if my schedule allowed. I hate the days I miss class and I do truly miss the class and can’t wait to go back.
Q. Have you ever taken a barre class before M.O.M.s Method?
A. No. At first it was really hard and my legs would shake like crazy but I knew that meant it was working. The classes don’t get easier you just begin to understand the moves better and you feel more and more comfortable and begin to see why it works.
Q. Do you have any goals that you have set for yourself in class?
A. Just to become stronger and continue to get to class even if my schedule is crazy. I love the atmosphere of the studio and I feel like I am part of a family. It motivates me to make this a priority in my life and take that time for me.
Congratulations to Melanie for working so hard and thank you for supporting M.O.M.s Method!
