Get a Buddy for the Barre
Grab your friend and go to the barre!! This blog is about your workout buddy, whether you knew them before coming to barre or met them at barre, it makes a difference. I saw on one of client’s Facebook pages, “spend time with those that inspire you” and she thanked all those in her life, including her workout buddy. Be that workout buddy for someone and let that person be a workout buddy for you.
Studies show that friendships are very important for everything life and that includes working out.
Two on our clients say this about their friendships:
“Working out at Barre has brought a new dimension to our friendship. We’ve been friends since middle school and it is great that we now catch up in our busy lives a few times a week.”
“It is not only motivation but a healthy level of competition for us to keep each other accountable to come to class”
Here are my 4 reasons why you need to find your workout buddy NOW:
1. Motivation: Have you ever told yourself that “I plan to go work out after work” or “I plan to estart eating well on Monday” but then your day starts and nope it doesn’t happen. Well, you need a workout buddy to help you stay on track and help motivate you to go! You know you feel better when you do.
2. Confidence: This comes from my daughter, 8 years old… “buddies help with building confidence, especially when trying something new.” So true! Right? Since most have never heard of barre, or they think it might not be for them. I urge you to put away your expectations and just come with a friend and a smile.
3. Accountability: A workout buddy helps you stick with it. That accountability is extremely important in setting a routine and creating goals. It forces you to have a plan and when you have a plan in advance you’re more likely to actually follow through; so plan your weekend, plan your weekend and plan a month in advance. find your workout buddy.
4. More Fun: It is way more fun to shake together, burn together and spend that time together.
So starting with us this Friday night at BFF at the Barre. Sign up online and class is just $5 each. If you do not have a BFF that wants to come with you, I promise that you will meet one. Many ladies are now friends because of Barre.
Cheers to workout buddies!!
