NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

 Dear Barre Beauties!

Did you enjoy your extra hour of sleep?? I think it’s a great way to start a new month!

Happy November to all of you. It’s the month of thankfulness and gratitude. The month to bring us together in a world that is forever changing. Throughout all the change, I am forever grateful for all of you who have been extremely supportive of our studio and especially of my family, these past 4 months since we found out about Liza’s diagnosis. It’s definitely a hard year for me and I have to say that my positive attitude that I preach every day at the studio is being tested! Luckily, Liza caught on to that “positivity” and that “mind over matter attitude,” and I am proud to say that she has the most infectious spirit about her. Thank goodness, because add in Positive COVID-19 cases to our already careful and volatile household, and we sure need to dig deep to find the good within all this bad. But luckily, we are safe. We will be ok. We will survive anything that is thrown at us. All of this is just a test, a dear friend told me. Testing me for sure! But I couldn’t pass this test without you. As I am being tested, I realize I am saying to myself in Kristina’s lunge set during her band workshop, “take a break and come back stronger!” We do have to take breaks. It’s ok. It’s ok to fall off. But it’s also ok to come back not where you were. Your home is here. We are your home. And as much as you may need a break, it’s ok but it’s time to come back stronger. Our instructors are the best. They are the most loyal. They are the most loving. They are the most caring. They are the hardest working and most honest people I know. Barre + Beyond is not just my business … it’s OUR business. It’s our family. So as much as it seems as life is crumbling underneath me these days, my barre beauties are lifting me up. In the spirit of Thanks, let me begin.

Thank you, truly thank you Rachel for being there for our family through our darkest hour, thick and thin and always with a smile; Elizabeth for always reminding me to be who I am and supporting me no matter what; to Kelly for always knowing what’s right; Kristina for always thinking outside the box and bringing the fun to the studio and my house; Alycia for bringing depth and understanding to our lives; Calla for bringing the Cheer when we need it most through your infectious smile; Kristin for being a natural born leader of truths and honesty; and Rachel L for keeping us going with your humor and beautiful baby boys! To you all, I am thankful. As Liza said in my darkest hour last week, as she held her hand in a heart shape, “some people think that Covid is bringing us apart… (as she pulls her finger away to break her heart). But in fact, it’s bringing us closer together. The people that matter are here and they stay. What really matters is right in front of you.” Wow! This 6 almost 7 year old knows what to say at the right time. Take it from Liza. All this that is happening is helping us be thankful for the little things right in front of us. So I beg you, before your next workout, to take a moment of gratitude. A moment to say thank you before you get on with your day! To all of you this November, I want to say thank you for keeping us going. Keep your heart glued together! All that you need is right in front of you.
