A Peek at M.O.M.S Arms!

One thing you can always count on at Mind Over Matter Studio is getting an invigorating full body workout. Every M.O.M.S Method class targets arms, legs, seat, core and of course helps build mental strength through our Mind Over Matter classes.

After warming up, every class begins with arms. Often overlooked in cardio based workouts, one of the things that gives you a long lean M.O.M.S physique is the long sculpted arms our classes help to build.

Sleek, long arms can be one of the most confidence boosting assets to show off in your holiday LBD, especially when that holiday potluck or extra cocktail might not having you feeling as tight and tucked as you want in other places! (Don’t worry, we can take care of all those places too, sign up for a class here)

So we know we want those sculpted shoulders and long arms, but how do we get them? Here is a sneak peek at some of our favorite arms moves from a M.O.M.S Method class.

Here are a few more tips:

Light or no weights. A M.O.M.S Method we are always focused on the technique of each movement, rather than trying to struggle with heavier weights. ALWAYS feel free to drop down to lighter or no weight. Trust us, you will still feel the burn with no weights! For beginners, we suggest starting with 1 and 2 pounds weights, or nothing! Our moves create their own resistance, so weights are just added for a little extra burn!

Mind Over Matter! Focus on each movement. Because we have light or no wights (see above) you can really concentrate on each move and each muscle group you are working.  When your arms start to burn, it is easy to let those elbows drop, but just remember, Mind Over Matter, you CAN do it!

Think full body. Even during the arms section, you are working more than your arms! Think about pulling your belly button in and up, contracting your abdominals to help stabilize your core. And don’t forget about your posture, keep a light bend in your knees, and energize all the way up through the top of your head, letting your shoulders relax down and away from your ears.
