Barre. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. Being Mindful
You only have one body. We have to be mindful of how we treat ourselves. We have to be mindful how we nourish ourselves. We have to be mindful of how we work our bodies. This topic has been coming up more and more lately. We want to feel better. We want to get into shape. We want to eat better. We want to be…you can fill in the blank. Here is the thing; in today’s society, there is so much information out there on the internet, apps, and more, that the big question is what work will work for you. Only you know how you feel after you eat that cookie. Only you know how you feel after you eat a “good” breakfast. Only you know how you feel when you work “mindfully” during that ab set. Only you know how you feel when you do your mind over matter minute plank. So today. Be mindful. Make choices that will take care of you.
Here are four basic mindful rules:
- Be mindful when you are debating going to class. Do it. You know you will feel better.
- Be mindful in class. Work to your body. Take care of your body. Work each muscle individually. Focus.
- Be mindful after class. I’m guilty too…ravenous after a good bare class; Choose wisely. Pick food that nourishes you. Chew your food. Eat without distraction and focus on tastes and smells and on what you are eating.
- Be mindful when go to sleep. Limit the screen time. Take a minute to relax and take deep breaths.
Barre. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. Be mindful when you do this!
As Always, Sharing Barre Love,
