Client Spotlight- Diana Moreland

I remember scrolling through our Barre + Beyond Facebook feed and loving the conversations and excitement for our New Year Focus You Beginner Series 2018. It was Diana who was the leader in these conversations. She had come to a Private Party class in December and yes, she loved it!  She immediately followed us on social media and when the time was right for our beginner series, she was there in my Tuesday night 5:00 Beginner Class. I have loved getting to know Diana and realized that she is one to always look at the glass half full rather than half empty. She is one to take that Mind Over Matter spirit from the barre to the outside world. No matter how busy life gets with buying  a house and moving, big events at work, she never made an excuse. She was there. Ready for class every day!  Diana is hard working but also very kind, caring, sweet and gentle demeanor. She always makes my job easier by welcoming every single person who comes into beginner class with her and makes everyone feel welcome. Thank you Diana for encouraging our inclusive spirit in the studio! I have loved the past year plus getting to know Diana and watch her grow. She has become so strong and her form is awesome! I love her determination and last month she rocked our Barre Bingo Challenge and filled the whole card in less than a month!! Go Diana! Read more about Diana here; We love you!

When did you first start coming to Barre + Beyond ( Mind Over Matter Method Barre Classes)?

My first Barre Class was in December 2017, I was coerced by a co-worker. She was having a private party. I am SO glad that she was persistent.

What got you “hooked” on Mind Over Matter Method Classes?

I was hooked after that first class. How could that short little class make me feel so many muscles?

Have you seen changes in your physique?

Ten years ago I went through cancer treatment (chemo and radiation), my body paid the price. While yes treatment and prayer is why I am still here today, my balance became non-existent and my bones are now the age of a 75 year old female. Because of barre, physically I can see a change in my posture. I stand straighter, my balance is improving, and I am seeing muscles develop. My energy is much greater, I have many little ones in my life that I need to be able to run and play with. I love the chance to be silly and chase them.

How often do you take class?

My goal is to go to Barre at least 3 days a week and take 3-5 classes. I can really tell a difference if I am unable to make it.

Have you ever taken a barre class before Barre + Beyond?

I am thankful that Barre+Beyond has been my first experience with barre.

Do you have any goals set for yourself in class?

Each class my goal is to keep going, to push myself to do better than my last class, and don’t quit. I am worth it!

What would you tell someone that is hesitant to try a class

You will absolutely not regret going to Barre+Beyond. I have never met anyone quite like this team of instructors and fellow Barre beauties! These ladies know their stuff! Everyone is SO encouraging, we keep each other going. There is satisfaction knowing that YOU did it, YOU did it for YOU. So much of our lives is spent caring for our families, our friends, and others. This is a chance to just focus on you. What can you do to take better care of yourself? Your body? Your mind? If you commit to you, you won’t regret it.

Thank you Diana for your kind words, sharing the barre love and being you! Keep up the great work!

Sharing Barre Love,

Orlee and Team
