To Our Dear Barre Beauties,

With Independence Day around the corner, having just gotten back from a touristy New York City Trip (think 911 Memorial and Statue of Liberty) and shipping my daughter off to sleep away camp, the thought of “Independence” is on the brain. What does “Independence” mean? What does it mean to me? What does it mean to you? What does it mean to be free? Well, I could break it down to the broad All-American view for you, but instead I’ll take it to a personal view. Independence makes me think how lucky, how proud, and how joyful I am to be where I am. Yes, I wanted to be independent from a young age, which may have landed me falling down the stairs and breaking a leg at the tender age of two. But that fall and the many thereafter throughout my adolescence and adult years, have taught me to fall down and just get right back up. I learned there are limits to independence and freedom that keep us safe. I had to fall in order to appreciate where I am now. The same go for my children; I need to let them fall in order to be able to learn to get right back up. It’s a good lesson for us all in every stage of life.

This July 4th, I am thinking about all the lessons I learned along the way. I learned I can’t just do whatever I want just because I am independent strong women. I can’t just eat whatever we want just because. I must still abide by rules, limits and goals. I must also think of my health, my family and friends. So this Independence day, I am going to celebrate my freedom, within reason. Ha! As you celebrate your freedom and your independence, remember you should be proud of who you are today. Remind yourself of any times you have fallen and how you have persevered to get right back up. Those moments working towards your independence, even from childhood, make you who you are today. I am proud of all of you. Follow your dreams, set your goals and be strong independent women!

Our Burn at the Barre Summer Challenge is here for July!

No matter your work schedule or family vacations, your goal is to come to class more than 8 times in the month. Once you reach 8 classes, you will earn $1 per class! yes!! Make money while you burn at the barre!!

We will give bonus bucks for certain classes and times…so you get 2 stickers for those classes! All $ from June will go onto your account for your July boutique purchases.

ALL MONTH LONG

JULY is the month where we begin our Core Series. We are pretty excited about the workshops we have planned, getting the burn from the inside out. We will use different equipment and focus and focus on foundation for all body movement. These classes will be a great way for somebody to start out, or for that barre veteran to deepen their barre burn by connecting deeper into their mind body connection. Take a look at the schedule and make a point to make it to these classes!

This week is igniting your abdominals from the inside!
