Beat the gloom with a pop of color!

Winter!! No matter how much you love the fresh crisp snowfall of early winter, there’s just something about the mid-february gloomy gray that makes you want to sleep, eat, and well, let’s be honest- be really lazy. Unfortunately our life choices tend to reflect this. Black and gray take over the closet, meals are richer and heavier, and workouts can be, well… nonexistent.

While this is exactly what we think we want in this dismal time of year, it actually works to further the gloom we already feel. So how do we get out of these blustery blahs, get back into the studio, and feel great again?

It’s actually a much simpler solution than you might think. Instead of reaching for those black yoga pants and heavy grey sweaters go ahead and put on a pop of color. Wearing color has actually been associated with your mood- so black and gray probably aren’t going to do much for you!

Tomorrow grab a blue top or a pair of pink leggings. Wear something colorful that makes you feel good and the rest of your day will follow. You will get an instant mood boost, which will make it easier to make healthier choices throughout the day like eating more fruit or making it to your M.O.M.s class.
