November Client Spotlight: Kelly Kwilosz
This month’s client spotlight is Kelly Kwilosz. Kelly has lived in Chesterton for about 4 years, and was disappointed with the workout options in the area. She had never heard of M.O.M.S Method, or anything like it, until her cousin from out of town dragged her to class. Kelly loved that she could get a full body workout in just an hour, instead of wasting a whole day at a gym trying to get the same benefits. She loves that every single class is a challenge, and has been striving to become her best self at Mind Over Matter Studio, not only during the hour she spends at the Barre, but in every aspect of her life. We are so proud of Kelly’s progress, and love seeing the positive attitude and hard work she brings to every M.O.M.S Class!
M.O.M.S: When did you first start taking M.O.M.s Method Classes?
Kelly: Around Easter, so April maybe.
M.O.M.S: What got you “hooked” on M.O.M.s Method Classes?
Kelly: The full body workout! Its such a short amount of time, and its such a challenge every class. I won’t say that I absolutely loved it after the first class, because it kicked my butt. But its a challenge and everyone is so supportive. Even the sayings [on the wall] when you’re sitting there trying to power through chair and you’ve got “Be Positive,” and “Be Strong” it helps you keep going!

M.O.M.S: Have you seen changes in your physique?
Kelly: Yes, clothes fit me better now! I work at an Animal Clinic where we do a lot with our upper bodies, and I was starting to get a complex about my “meaty” arms, but now I can actually fit in girly sweaters and I don’t have that big buff look. So I definitely have noticed a difference.
M.O.M.S: How often do you take class?
Kelly: Well I try about twice a week if we don’t have a special package going on, and as much as can with my work schedule during unlimited packages, because I just feel so great afterwards.
M.O.M.S: Have you ever taken a barre class before M.O.M.s?
Kelly: Nope. I didn’t even know what it was. I didn’t know what to expect, but the instructor was very helpful, and all the instructors are great about tweaking your hips to help with form, or on my bad knee days helping me figure out modifications.

M.O.M.S: Do you have any goals set for yourself in class?
Kelly: I guess it depends how I’m feeling for that day. Some days I just want to stay in bed, because yesterday was rough, or I”m just not feeling it, but then I come to class and you get amped up right from the start and you feel better, so it’s really just getting here. I can power through the chair now, but we’ve been doing more push-ups and planks and that’s been kicking my butt, so I guess now my goal is to finish a whole set of push-ups without having to go to my knees. It’s little things, but with all the different updates to the workout I don’t always know what to expect from a class so I’m already halfway through it and I realize I can do it! Half of the workouts are just a mental thing. It’s hard, because you get that mental block but you just have to push through that!

M.O.M.S: Anything else you want to tell people about M.O.M.S?
Kelly: Its just fabulous. It blows my mind that you get such a full body workout in an hour, and you’re exhausted, but you’re pumped and you feel great. And I want to eat better after I’ve taken class. It motivates me to live a healthier lifestyle outside of class too.
Thank you so much Kelly! We are so proud of you, and so happy that M.O.M.S has been a positive influence on your life. We not only want to help you look your best, but also BE your best, in Mind and Body! After all, Sculpted Body + Strong mind is our founding principle! Keep up the hard work, and ALWAYS keep striving to “Be Your Better Self!”
Lots of M.O.M.S Love,
The Team
